What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Having grown up with sisters, navigating the world of three boys has been an incredible education. Each of my sons is distinct—deeply intuitive and emotionally intelligent—yet our bonds are equally strong. This journey has taught me that the goal wasn't just to raise them, but to build a foundation of emotional depth. There is no greater reward than watching them grow into young men who pursue their passions with such heart.

The greatest lesson of motherhood is realizing that my deep love isn't meant to keep them close—it was always about raising them to stay connected, even as they build lives of their own. The hard part is trusting what we’ve built without needing to see it every day. Even with the ache, I know it means we did something right. I didn't just raise boys; I built relationships designed to stretch, and I’m learning to trust that they will hold.

What would I do with $20,000? That’s a great question. Honestly, I’d feel so much pride in the win. I would love to give back by donating a portion to the school where I work here in Boston, set some aside for my sons' college funds, and—of course—plan an unforgettable fishing trip with my boys.
