What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Motherhood for me isn’t picture-perfect—it’s raw, unpredictable, and sometimes exhausting. Shout out to the parents of special needs kiddos! It comes with “judgy” eyes and meetings, fiercely advocating for him. But it’s also filled with brilliant, loving, hilarious moments that only I get to witness. My son sees the world differently, and through him, so do I. Raising him while navigating my own neurodivergence has taught me patience, strength, and a kind of love that runs deeper than words.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood taught me that children don’t just listen and watch you.... they reflect you. My son holds up a mirror that challenges me to grow, adjust, and be better in real time. It’s humbling, stretching, and powerful. Through it, I’ve discovered a deeper level of accountability, resilience, and the ability to evolve in ways I never thought possible. It is such a blessing and a privilege to get to know this side of myself while getting to know him... and I'm so very grateful for it.

What would you do with $20,000?

First, I’d handle what’s needed of course, but I’d also honor myself for once. Much needed art and business supplies, good rest, a great meal, a concert...an awesome mom date. Support like childcare, cleaning, laundry, and meals would give me space to breathe and build what I’m creating. I’d get my son animation tools to fuel his creativity and use this time to grow my empowerment platform. Lastly, I'd get to fulfill my promise (5 years and counting), to take him on his dream trip to Canada!
