Watching my kids grow up, the personalities they develop, the skills and knowledge they learn, the adventures they experience, and most importantly, seeing them happy. Its also being hands on with them, being a caregiver, a teacher, a coach, and a mentor. It’s the imagination and fun, especially my daughter, creates. It’s the living room and backyard full of laughter.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson I’ve learned as a mother is the power of patience. That before reacting strongly with emotions, it’s important to holdback, reassess before intervening. It’s allowing your children an opportunity to explain their feelings. Balancing that fine line of caregiver and authority figure, to be stern but also empathetic.
What would you do with $20,000?I would divide the prize money in half and from that half the money would go into each of my children’s savings accounts evenly. The other half of the prize money would go into a renovation project we have been putting off.
