Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Giving my kids the life they deserve; feeling loved, cherished and nurtured to one day be able to have their own families. Seeing their smiles daily from new things learned or fun experiences; will never get old. Getting the biggest hugs after a long day at work is the absolute best feeling. They keep me pushing to be better in everything I do. I want them to see how reaching for your dreams is always encouraged even knowing we might fail along the way. You just keep getting back up!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

It has humbled me in many ways. Not to be so self focused, how their love could heal broken parts of me, and ultimately that working hard to provide for your kids is one of the most rewarding yet hardest jobs as a mom. I want to be present all the time for them but nowadays, the new normal is two parents working. I still make them priority, of course, but them seeing how hard I work for us; I know will leave an impact. I’m honest and open with them through harder days, we give each other grace.

What would you do with $20,000?

Oh man, I would pay off some debt, save some and also would give our family a vacation of a lifetime. We work hard day in and day out; my husband and I always try to do weekend getaways with the kids when able or plan a week long family vacation once a year but it’s been harder to manage lately due to money being tight. God is good though and continues to provide when we fall short, but a little extra help would be a dream come true. No matter who wins, I know it will change any mamas life!
