Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being a mom is super hard and super rewarding. I have to say, there's nothing quite like seeing your baby smiling at you or your husband with their arms extended. This tells me that my child feels safe, loved, and excited to see their parent. 1 Corinthians says speaks about how having all the material things and spiritual gifts means nothing if there is no love. Man, I could have everything or nothing; but if my child feels loved and safe, that's all that matters to me. That's the reward.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to be humble. You can plan, research, and schedule every moment, but there's a 100% chance that none of that will work out. I planned every moment of my labor, and that ended in me and my son almost losing our lives. I planned everything out for postpartum, and there were massive complications. I planned things out for my son's first tooth....and you guessed it! Things didn't go as planned. So, you humble yourself and you work at it again.

What would you do with $20,000?

The Lord is good. He has provided overflowing streams in dessert places. But $20,000 would not hurt! The first 10% will be given to our church as we believe in tithing a tenth of what the Lord has given it. Then the remaining half of it would go into a high-yield savings account for my kids as they learn what it means to save and invest intentionally. The other portion of it would go into paying off our home that we are currently building.
