What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Knowing that my children love me for who I am mistakes and all. That the sacrifice meant something to someone and that they turned out being creative, loving, capable, kind, funny humans. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I can serve them in some way. It doesn’t have to be a big way it can be as small as going and getting a favorite drink to fuel them for finals. Sending flowers or buying a meal for a holiday they can enjoy if we are far apart. Being someone they can count on in life.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

That even if you love someone with all your heart… you can’t fix it or change them and being able to just love them through the pain the healing the ups and downs can just mean listening… not doing.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would give each child 3k for a car and 1k to start a Roth IRA Then I would take a family vacation to Greece to celebrate being a family! Enjoying some carefree time together. My kids didn’t have a carefree childhood. The rest I would use to go back to school! To the Aveda Art and Science Institute and gain a skill where I get to use my creativity and work with all kinds of people. Not have to work for a paycheck but do a job that brings me joy and others joy.
