What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I think the most rewarding thing about being a mother is knowing your children so well that you can tailor activities towards what you know they will love and will drive them regardless of their initial hesitations or fears. But being confident in your child and their abilities you can push them into new experiences and see them push past their discomfort and really shine in a new way. It is one of my favorite things to watch. I love being able to build memories and trust myself.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson I have learned about myself is how strong and resilient I am. Navigating being a single mom and the difficulties of co-parenting, I have surprised myself with my ability to put my kids first and provide a happy childhood with a huge network of people to surround them with love. I have learned I can withstand so many hardships on my own and it is so empowering to know what I have walked through with my kids by my side, and they have absolutely no idea there was any struggle.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use that money to help us purchase a forever home! I have been barely able to make ends meet, let alone begin to save for a down payment. So being able to provide our own space that we can decorate and enjoy together is my biggest dream for us. I hope to have an actual yard where we can play sports together and have family get togethers.
