Being a mom to one of the Lucky Few (Down syndrome) and being there for my son as a single mom every day.
We would like to thank you for supporting Kayla Kittell in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Being able to advocate for my son and his needs. Watching him grow every day and accomplishing goals that are a lot harder for him as a child with special needs. Watching him have a smile on his face and enjoying life. He helps me get through the hardest of times just by his personality and smiles and all the love he gives. He’s truly changed my life and helps me look at things so much more differently then I did before.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?To not let things bother me like they used to and to live and enjoy life!!! My son has taught me so much more patience and love.
What would you do with $20,000?I would get us a better apartment to live in that would better suit his needs. I may even take myself shopping for some new clothes because as we all know almost of moms like myself never buy new clothes for ourselves just for our littles. I would also buy new furniture for our place as well.
