Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Becoming a mother has been one of the greatest honors the Lord has blessed me with. Personally, the most fulfilling part of being a mama is the ability to rewrite the story; I get to choose my son even when life brings hardships. As a child myself, I walked through the grief of losing a parent to death and the other to addiction. It is so fulfilling to see this unconditional love in his eyes when he looks at me counting on me to protect his heart and nurture him.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Stepping into motherhood has been the most challenging, reinventing, painful, but most rewarding season of my life thus far. Becoming a mother has taught me 3 most important lessons: 1. Nurturing your child is your biggest ministry. Be a good steward and water the field daily. 2. Being present is the greatest gift. 3. The dirty house and dishes can wait. Time is precious.

What would you do with $20,000?

What a blessing it would be to receive $20k, right? Lately, I have been praying for financial freedom over debt; this would be an answer to that prayer! I would also set aside funds for my son, and support my home church in tithes, mission work, and an organization like Baby Steps Auburn to help college student-mothers in need.
