The largest reward of being a mom is mindfulness, in my opinion. It’s challenging for sure- but with my son at least, I have to be so mindful of my emotions, thoughts, nervous system state, and the environments we are in.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The lesson in learning to love everything about the world and yourself all over again. Throughout our lives we are taught to be quiet or that some things aren’t worth enjoying. Having a child rapidly changes this. They see the world with fresh eyes and will trigger every hidden wound you didn’t know you had. The learning curve is steep, but worth it.
What would you do with $20,000?After the divorce, I’ve been driving around a clunker car for work and my son’s daycare / preschool. Getting a reliable vehicle for transportation would be nice, but so would putting a down payment on a house. Maybe I could pull off both!
