What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching our kids grow into incredible human beings and seeing their compassion for others in the world. It brings me so much joy to see our kids step out of their comfort zone and try something new or notice the unprompted kindness they show toward others. It’s also extra special to see our daughter with Down syndrome hit milestones at her own pace. It all brings joy and it’s always worth it!!!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

1) Patience is a virtue 2) They all get to their destination at their own time. 3) With 3 kiddos who are now 10, 8, and 5, we went through COVID with a newborn, a toddler, and kiddo with leukemia. We have learned to go with the flow, not take anything for granted, and to not feel guilty about asking for help or even just saying yes when people offer help. We wouldn’t be where we are without our village. God is good!

What would you do with $20,000?

Save for future travel, to annually create amazing experiences as a family, somewhere relaxing, but with experiences that are fun, engaging, and memorable for all of our kiddos (and parents). We are always “racing” in life and it seem nearly impossible to find the time (or money) to make these kind of experiences possible. That would be magical! I would also spend time at a spa to relax and unwind.
