What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is understanding myself better through it. My girls have brought to light mysteries we never discussed in my family growing up, which have had to be addressed with them (neurodiversity). I now feel like everyone is better for it, and I am so thankful for my girls that bring me such joy.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me the depth of love and perseverance I can have for my children. One of my daughters has level one autism and ADHD. We've had to constantly advocate for her needs since she was 3 (now 7), and it has not always been easy. However, her struggles have shed light on family systems that we never addressed before, so I am thankful for her.

What would you do with $20,000?

I teach Economics/Personal Finance and English at a local high school. With what teachers get paid, I know I should be saving more for retirement, so some of the money would go towards that. Also, I do some creative things on the side: writing books, painting, crafting, etc. I would put more money into making my side hustles profitable.
