I am a single mom and have been almost all of my kids' lives. I work 60 hour week sometimes to provide. Whatever their needs I find a way.
We would like to thank you for supporting Karen Sanders in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Watching my children grow into the people they will become. Its bitter sweet really. They are my whole world and I am teaching them to not rely on me eventually. I have one thats grown another graduating high school and 2 teens. I look back on all the years and fun memories we made. I was a single mom and struggled but looking back i dont see the struggle i see their childhoods and the love and fun memories we shared. I know there are more memories to be made.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Learning to let go as they grow up. Letting them make mistakes and being there to pick them back up. Someone told me once when my oldest were 2 and 4 that they are more than children that they will someday be an adult and its my job to teach them to be good people. That stuck with me and my adult children are kind loving people. Im so greatful for that. Being a mom humbled me in a loving way. I was only 17 when I became a mom. I finished high school and went to college and 100% supported my kids
What would you do with $20,000?Pay for the rest of my daughters college tuition and give the 12 and 14 yr olds rooms makeovers.
