I’m not a super mom. I am just an ordinary mom who spends her days opening snacks, kissing boo boos, and being her kids personal taxi.
We would like to thank you for supporting Kara Hoover in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Being their person. Whether it is a boo boo that needs kissed, a hurt feeling that needs hugged, or being scared that needs a hand held, you are the one they want and that makes it better. When they learn a new trick or accomplish something great, you are the one they can’t wait to show and tell.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Patience. I thought I was a patient person. I am a nurse after all and took care of people during complex and stressful situations with ease. Motherhood though teaches you a different type of patience. You are 24/7 putting other peoples needs ahead of your own while simultaneously teaching them to be kind humans. It is humbling many days, but equally rewarding. It teaches you a type of patience that you didn’t know existed or that you needed.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000 I would take my family on vacation, and then use the rest to pay for their competition dance fees for the next season.
