Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

We make so many sacrifices as parents but I wouldn’t change it for anything! It has made me humble in many ways. I have had to learn to adapt. The most rewarding part is learning from my kids. They have taught me so much!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

My kids love me so much! It is something I often take for granted. As moms we get overstimulated when our kids are all over us, eat our food or only want Mom to do A, B, C. I have to remind myself they are showing me their love and feel safe around me. It has not been easy to learn this and at times I still get overwhelmed but I continue to tell myself they want my love, they want to share their love, and love is not a bad thing!

What would you do with $20,000?

I went back to school to become a teacher and get out of the corporate world. I wanted to educate others and also be more present for my own kids. It took a lot of sacrifices from my husband, kids, and family. A family getaway would be a perfect way to show them how thankful I am for them. With $20,000 I would pay off some of our debt, help a struggling mom who I know needs it right now, donate some and pamper myself. It’s not much but it would go a long way.
