Motherhood has so many rewarding aspects to narrow it down to one is so difficult. I’d have to say some of the best parts are watching the kindness and morals you cultivated in your child come to life. Watching him apply selflessness and gratitude to his own life and relationships warms my heart. I also really enjoy watching him become passionate and invested in the things he enjoys like baseball and helping others. He’s learning to work hard for the things important to him.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me to be present. Moments with your little one or ones can be so fleeting as childhood is the most brief part of their lives. Making each moment count and putting the phone down and being present with them is so valued in our home. The laundry, the dishes, those things will be there after bed time. Make the moments count!
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000 our lives would be changed. As a single parent financial stress can be a challenge and a gift such as that would make a difference in our lives beyond compare. However as I teach my son selflessness, I would have to lead by example and I think donating a portion to mothers seeking support in our community would be wonderful as they are all super mothers as well experiencing motherhood in a different way then most of us.
