What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching them grow into their very own uniquely individual little selves with budding personalities and strengths is such a joy. But with their diagnosis each little step can be a huge victory that took much more work and effort than other typically developing kids. So to share that joy with them and see them (sometimes finally) succeed is incredibly rewarding bc much of my own time and effort many times helped them get there. But to feel their love and presence is the biggest blessing ever.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Selflessness. Everything is about them! My life is no longer my own but theirs. It’s a true servant hood with very little glory or thanks but it’s all worth it. Every sacrifice now means something. They teach me something everyday. I also learn more about myself daily as well, almost in the process of losing myself completely. It’s a journey of purpose and growth for everyone!

What would you do with $20,000?

Well we only have 1 car and my husband is a postal carrier in a town next to us. Our van is old as it is and to have a working vehicle with a/c in the hot summers and or a second one so the kids and I wouldn’t have to go get him (an hour trip each time when we are all very tired at the end of the day) would be oh so nice.
