Seeing them choose kindness, with each other, and the world, makes my heart full. And when I hear what makes them happy, knowing I had a hand and shaping that? That’s everything.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Biggest lesson? I’m not perfect and my kids have learned the most from that. Showing up authentically, with all I have, is enough. They don’t miss a thing they watch, listen, and mirror both the good and the bad. I’ve learned I can’t expect what I don’t model. But understand consequences is truly what shapes them into the humans.
What would you do with $20,000?If I had $20,000, I’d spend it on the people who matter most. My kids were remarkable through our years of struggle. They never made us feel like we weren’t enough. This would be my thank you for real family vacation full of fun and memories we never got to make. And a piece would go to something long overdue: a trip alone with my husband. 30 years together, never once a vacation just for us. We’ve earned that moment to breathe.
