Being able to watch my daughter grow, learn, change, make mistakes and get to know the world, while I stand back (with a net and padding to be her support) so she can see how far she’s gone. (Yes I’m referencing one of our favorite movies… the Barbie movie)
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Oh man!!! I’m just barely starting so mainly i know the lessons will keep on coming! But as of now, the biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is that it’s ok not to be ok. My daughter, my husband, our family, myself, my career, my friendships will ALL have days of not being ok while being a mother… and that’s all part of it. That’s the beautiful mess that allows us to grow, learn and continue to make things better!
What would you do with $20,000?I’d do something for me - celebrating this incredibly challenging and rewarding career as mom. Something for my husband - I scientifically couldn’t have done it without him, but also I couldn’t be the mother I am without he being the father and husband he is. Last I’d want to make an amazing memory with our little family. We have not been able to travel much due to life, jobs, costs, responsibilities… and I want to show her the world so she can expand her view and potential footprint & impact!
