I had my son through IVF, and I cherish every single day with him. I left my job to raise him myself while my husband provides. God bless!
We would like to thank you for supporting Joanna Sitaruk in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my son grow and how quickly he learns new things. It proves to me that even on days where I question if I’m doing enough, I’m doing a great job. And because I had to do so much just to have him, I don’t take a second with him for granted.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me how to truly be selfless. My son comes before me in everything I do. Before having him, I didn’t know what is what like to be truly selfless, and now, it makes me feel so happy to have this opportunity. I thank God everyday for what I have and having my son has opened my eyes to how blessed I am in this life.
What would you do with $20,000?Since I left my job to raise my son, I would use this money to pay our bills. We live in California and it’s not easy living on one income, but being able to raise my son myself and not putting him in daycare means the world to me and it’s a sacrifice we chose to make. That money would help us be able to cover rent so we don't stress and give us a chance to actually save some money.
