Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being a mom is the most rewarding part of life! Being tasked with shaping tiny humans who grow up to be great individuals is the best feeling. There are some very tiresome moments and even tough being a special needs mom but I would never trade it for anything! I love my children and hope I can be the guide God has set me to be for them. When I see my children succeed it brings me such joy even in the little things like my 16 month old learning to crawl given his condition.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson this journey motherhood is has taught me that there is joy in the simple and small victories. We celebrate our little one with trisonomy 21 as he makes small victories!!! There is so much beauty in diversity and in acknowledging an individual not for what they have but for who they are and the joy they bring into our lives. My son has taught us to be more sensitive to others. Sometimes just appreciating small things is enough.

What would you do with $20,000?

With that money I would buy a car( very needed) and take a vacation. I’m so tired I honestly can use one with all the kids . Just going somewhere with all expenses paid would be so nice. Between doctors visits, surgeries, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and feeding therapies. I forget that I too matter and it’s easy to say , take care of yourself but how with limited resources! I would love to be considered for this as it would not only impact me but my family too. Thank you
