I love that I get to relive and recreate my childhood through his play. Every moment feels bigger, brighter, and more meaningful. Slowing down to notice flowers on a trail or making almond milk together in the kitchen, these simple connected moments matter most. Watching him grow, connect, and experience joy reminds me what truly matters. It’s our deep connection and these present moments that make motherhood so rewarding.

Motherhood has taught me that growth never truly stops. Just because we’re done physically growing doesn’t mean we’re done evolving. My son pushes me to be more patient, present, and intentional every day, reminding me that learning is a lifelong journey. He’s also taught me that while travelling as a mother is far less relaxing, it’s still absolutely worth it and even more necessary than ever.

This money will launch my dream: an outdoor, play-based childcare centre. Inspired by Montessori, Waldorf and Forest School principles, it will focus on nature-based, creative, and risky play. Children will explore freely, learn through experience, visit local farms, grow food, and enjoy provided nourishing meals. There will be a small coffee bar to welcome parents and it will be more than childcare- it will build a community rooted in connection and strong values.
