I show up, love hard, stay strong, and keep going—because being a super mom isn’t perfection, it’s heart, resilience, and never giving up.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jessica Spreder in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my kids grow into incredible people—one serving our country in the USCG, one stepping into her calling as a nurse; graduating this month, and my youngest reminding me every day why I keep going. However, it is not just these big milestones, it's the little one too. It's the moments when they still need me, trust me, and come to me first. The moments when they finally see themselves through the lenses that I have always seen them.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Questions like this bring tears to my eyes… Motherhood has taught me that in order to give my children a different life, I had to become different—learning to love myself while breaking every cycle I once knew. And in that process, I realized I am stronger than anything that ever tried to break me.
What would you do with $20,000?If I won, I would use the money to bring more stability and peace to my children’s lives. As a survivor, I know what it feels like to start over. I know how confusing it is to accept the big picture. I know dissociation too well. I will give back to other survivors, even the ones having a hard time reaching the reality. I will invest resources into finishing my book. My voice was meant for the voiceless. Shedding light out of my story is a way to give back.
