It’s definitely watching my kids grow into passionate, caring people. Despite my trauma and abuse, I was able to give them a better life with higher standards of love, family and God values. I only ever wanted to be a great mother and despite my pain, I somehow created the best little humans I know.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?It taught me forgiveness and unconditional love. I never knew sacrifice of a mother until I had my children. Forgiveness because my mom was abused and left so I know she lives with pain in her heart. It taught me incredible strength because I could’ve used my pain to continue the cycle but there was no way I could do that. Finding the strength to break the generations of abuse and familial trauma is not easy but with God, I will continue to pave the way to healing and growth.
What would you do with $20,000?I would put the money into my business and build my nonprofit organization that will help kids like me. Bringing light and smiles thru their darkest moments. Creating a movement to break cycles for generations of communities worldwide.
