Watching my son who has autism and ADHD thrive, learn and grow since him being diagnosed at 3 to him being 7 years old now. My son is one of the smartest loving caring children ever and I’m so proud that he’s my son. He makes me want to be a better person everyday I live. There are days I struggle being a single mom with no family but my son has made me realize I can do anything I set my mind to. I’m not sure where I’d be without my son. I love him to the moon and back and Everyday is rewarding.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Life is not easy. I went through blood sweat and tears to get my son diagnosed in order to get him the help he needed. Being a mom has taught me you will do whatever is needed for your child no matter what it is. Being a single mom has also taught me no one will feel bad for you and no one is going to hand you things. You work hard and earn those things.
What would you do with $20,000?I would take my son on a vacation as I don’t have the money to do that for him. As a single mom I don’t receive any assistance or support and that’s alright. I work 2 jobs and about 70 hours a week. But between selling our home and moving I don’t have extra money to take my son to Disney world but I’d love to take him a few places and sign him up for swimming lessons and activities in the summer time!
