I am called this frequently. I am mom to 2 beautiful boys- one is on the autism spectrum. I also juggle a full time career.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jess Warzecha in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Watching my boys learn and grow and being able to use my skills to not only benefit my sons and my child who needs additional services and supports but to use my skills in my career to help other children as well.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Ive had to learn to parent two different worlds at once. For one, honoring structure, patience, and advocacy for my son with autism while embracing flexibility and spontaneity with my son who does not have autism. I’ve learned to slow down, celebrate progress in all forms, and love my children unconditionally for exactly who they are, not who the world expects them to be.
What would you do with $20,000?As a middle class American, this economy is incredibly challenging. We are also facing added costs for obtaining services and supports for my son with autism. As a result my husband cannot work as he spends his days supporting our 4 year old. This money would help us to live- groceries, clothes, diapers, bills, mortgage, therapies, etc.
