Starting over with a twelve year age gap as a single working mom while enduring life’s challenges. But most importantly showing up for them.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jennifer Quilter in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The look on their faces when you make them proud and they say to themselves “that’s MY mom!”
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that keeping your word is the most important thing. Not promises, your word. The stability safety and consistency of doing what you say you’re going to do build a strong foundation. This foundation leads to a stronger bond and builds a child’s trust and confidence. These two things are so important, which ultimately leads to better outcomes both at home and in social settings. Without a solid foundation nothing can build.
What would you do with $20,000?I would invest part of it in stocks or bonds that would possibly grow to give each a better and secure future. Pay bills so I would be less stressed and more present with them, and not l constantly worrying about money & being distracted by it. Then treat each of them to a total “Yes” day doing whatever they want. Send my parents on vacation as a thank you for supporting us and being a part of our village. And last get professional support for each of us to help us process our feelings.
