When they first moved in with me, being called “Mom” something that made my heart completely whole. Being able to be there next to them for their happiness and their sadness, cheering them on from the sidelines, letting them know that I am their number one cheerleader. Also witnessing my children’s growth and personal development, experiencing unconditional love, and seeing the world through their eyes. I am completely blessed to be their mom.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?One of the biggest lessons that I have learned in motherhood has taught me is resilience and perseverance. Also independence and self care; to be my very best self for my children, I need to be able to care for myself first in order to care for my children.
What would you do with $20,000?My daughter passed away, on December 11, 2025. I would take this money and invest part of it and take myself on a very much needed long weekend getaway. I have been focusing so much on everything but myself, and right about now self-care is crucial. I am speaking to someone weekly and I did join a bereavement group, other parents that lost their teenage children.
