Having the privilege of my children getting to know God. Teaching them to pray, worship and follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Giving them the solid foundation for their faith that they can build upon through life’s experiences, so that when they stumble, they won’t be shaken. Raising little disciples who may someday pave the way for someone’s salvation and eternity in heaven is such an honor - they can be a light for others who may not know Jesus.

Motherhood has taught me to slow down and smell the flowers. I have always rushed to the next thing — to prepare for the day so that getting though it would be easier. Our children live in the present and need their parents to live in that moment with them. I have learned that other things can wait (dishes, laundry, cleaning house) because simply sitting with your child, holding them, playing on the floor together — those things are both priceless and fleeting. Give your children all of you now!

First, pay some bills to relieve a little stress! Second, put some into savings for us and the kids for future needs. Third, use for some fun activities throughout the year, maybe even put towards a little camper! It’s always been hard for us to just spend money, both my husband and I would prefer to save! But life is short and you can’t take it with you when you go. Experiences are never wasted, and sometimes you just need to “take the trip”. A camper could provide a lot of those trips!
