I am in the process of getting divorced and transitioning from married single mom to single mom. Both of my kiddos are neurospicy.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jennifer Crosthwait in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
I absolutely adore getting to see the personalities and unique traits of my kids come out. They are so wonderful and I am so fortunate and lucky to be a part of their story. I try very hard to have 1-1 mom time with each of them, and the fruits of that effort are starting to come through. I’m very real with them, and as a result they are wise beyond their years, so emotionally aware, and very intuitive. I love getting to know them and helping them grow into fabulous human beings.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Moms are unnecessarily hard on themselves. It’s the little things that make the most impact on our kids. Of course they, like anyone, like and appreciate the grand gestures, but the joy of those simple and organic moments stick with them longer. Having a silly dance party in the kitchen, making a blanket fort in the living room and listening to the new Taylor Swift album start to finish, or scripting through Toy Story for the umpteenth billion time are the most precious moments.
What would you do with $20,000?Gosh I’m not sure if it’s a sexy or flashy answer, but I would use it to pay rent without stressing, or fill my gas tank up all the way. Having that cushion would take off SO MUCH stress and anxiety. I worry about money and making ends meet everyday. Being free of that worry would be life changing, and I would be forever thankful.
