Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

From the outside, my life might look hectic, chaotic, and a little wild and honestly, it is. With four kids, two dogs, eight fish, and a husband, there is rarely a quiet moment. But within that beautiful chaos lies a kind of joy and fulfillment that nothing else in life has ever matched. It is, without a doubt, the happiest and most meaningful experience I’ve ever had. It’s the excitement the kids have to tell me about their day, the snuggles, their handmade artwork and the love they share!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me more than I ever expected about love, faith, and letting go. Becoming an instant bonus mom to three beautiful kids changed my life overnight in the best way. Then, last September, we welcomed our sweet baby Teddy, and my understanding of motherhood deepened even more. When he was diagnosed with Down syndrome and a complete AV canal defect, my world shifted. It was overwhelming, but it taught me to fully trust in Jesus, and to surrender control to Him!

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won the $20,000, I would build a dream playhouse in our backyard for our four kids! We love spending time outside, and creating a space just for them would be a dream come true. I imagine a miniature “Magic Kingdom” filled with imagination and joy. A place where they can play, explore, and make lifelong memories together. A special place like that would mean so much. It would be a reminder to slow down, soak in the little moments, and celebrate the joy of simply being together!
