The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing the smiles on my child’s faces every time they look at me.I love the way their expressions change when they realize I’m in the audience or when they see me at their practices and games. But above all it’s the trust they have in me. Even when they make a mistake, they know they can come to me first.They trust that I will calm them down before talking through what happened, helping them understand the consequences, and working together to fix things
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?I’ve learned not to judge others, because we never know what’s going on in their lives or with their children. Having a child with ADHD and challenges with emotional regulation has shown me that every family carries a story beneath the surface. I’m not naturally patient, but my kids have taught me to slow down, go with the flow, and not stress when plans change or things don’t go as expected. Most of all, they’ve taught me to lead with patience and love.
