What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing the incredible progress my children have made in their lives. I'm proud to see my oldest, who's going to be a first-time father, use the lessons I taught to start his own family. Seeing my other son with special needs triumph through life and now starting college is one of the greatest joys I can possibly have. Finally, getting to be with my daughter as she starts high school and pursues a career in the Navy means the world to me.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Faith is by far the greatest lesson I've learned. Faith in God, my family, and myself allowed me to raise my first son with all the care he needed. When the doctors gave my second son three months to live, faith allowed me to do everything possible to care for him, and he is now achieving everything he could've wished for because of our faith. Last but not least, as my daughter battled through depression after my divorce, faith is what kept us together and well, as she now has grown and matured.

What would you do with $20,000?

With this, I can finish paying the loan for our van with wheelchair access to provide safe and reliable transportation for all my kids, and I can begin to pay some medical bills. It's been our dream to travel together as a family. They truly deserve it above all for everything we've gone through, and this, like all I do, is all for them.
