Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my children grow into who they’re meant to be—and knowing your love had everything to do with it—fills my heart with a kind of gratitude that’s hard to put into words. Every milestone, every quiet moment, every challenge they’ve faced and overcome carries a piece of me within it. God's influence lives in their laughter, in their kindness, in the way they treat others, and in the strength they show when life isn’t easy. It’s in the little habits they’ve picked up without even realizing.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

I don’t have to be perfect—I just have to be present. In a world that constantly pushes the idea that we need to do more, be more, and give more, it’s easy to feel like we’re always falling short. We measure ourselves against impossible standards, worrying about whether we said the right thing, made the best decision, or handled every moment exactly the way we should have. But the truth is, perfection was never the goal. Presence is what truly matters. Showing up, again and again, with love.

What would you do with $20,000?

First— I would take care of my foundation and Pay essential bills, keep my home stable, reduce stress. That’s not selfish—that’s responsible. You can’t pour into others if you’re running on empty. Second—honor my heart to give. And support my church’s kids ministry. Giving doesn’t have to be all $20,000 to be meaningful. Even a small, portion generosity and faith goes a long way !
