Aside from being able to watch my baby girl develop her own personality. Motherhood has given me so much personal growth. I am truly a more resilient, compassionate, and patient person. I have found so much self confidence and love. Going through this journey has shown me beautiful parts of myself I didn’t know I had. Motherhood has made me want more for myself so I can be a better example for Élia. It has given me more to fight for in my career, in my schooling, and in my relationships.

Motherhood has taught me that selflessness goes beyond simply considering others before yourself. No one prepared me for how quickly I would become a mother. For me, it wasn’t when she was born but from the moment I found out I was having a child. From that moment my life became centered around Élia. I would do anything to ensure she thrives. While I still have my independence, there isn’t a moment I don’t think about my baby. If she’s happy, if she’s safe, if she feels adored.

I would want to get something small for my mom. Having my own super mom is one of the only reasons I’m able to be one myself. I would put the rest of the money towards my student loans and paying off my car.
