What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

It so rewarding and powerful being the person your children run to when they’re hurt, excited, scared, or proud. That sense of being their safe place is so fulfilling. It’s also incredibly rewarding to watch your child grow into their own person. Seeing their personality develop, hearing their thoughts, and realizing you’ve helped shape how they see the world can feel both humbling and extremely grateful.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me, is that everything is not in my control. You can do your best, plan carefully, love unconditionally, and your child will still have their own personality, struggles, and path. Learning to guide instead of control, and to accept them for who they are is what matters. I’ve learned to give myself lots of grace. There’s no perfect parent. As long as I’m present and giving it my all, I’ll have no regrets.

What would you do with $20,000?

With the 20,000. I would purchase a reliable vehicle that will seat all 4 of my children. I would like to get ahead on some bills, as I only have a part time job. If possible, after taking care of the necessities. I’d like to take my children on a small vacation. I would love to set some aside in my savings account, and get my children some clothes and shoes for the next school year. I’d love to be a blessing to some moms in need and purchase diapers, wipes, and basic necessities.
