Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my son grow in his own way, on his own timeline, has completely reshaped how I see success. Every small win that others might overlook feels monumental to me. The most rewarding part is knowing that my love, persistence, and advocacy are helping him build a life where he feels safe, understood, and capable.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood taught me that control is an illusion, but presence is everything. I learned to let go of expectations and truly see my child for who he is, not who the world expects him to be. It pushed me to become stronger, more patient, and more purpose-driven than I ever imagined, turning uncertainty into action and fear into fuel.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would invest it directly into expanding access to autism services through my center, funding therapy for families who cannot afford it, enhancing sensory-friendly spaces, and supporting parent training programs. No parent should have to travel across the world or feel alone like I once did. This would allow me to remove barriers and reach more children who need support early.
