Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is waking up every day with a responsibility of teaching, nurturing and encouraging my boys. Before becoming a mother, my purpose in life was to grow in my career and be a supportive wife to my husband. Now, I wake up with an inner joy and purpose of truly being the best I can be! Yes, I still have my bad days, but overall, it’s an inner joy that can only be explained by the four precious humans that call me Mama!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to not fret the small stuff. I have a very type-A personality and tend to lean on my long, detailed “to-do lists.” When I became a mother of twins, I realized the “to-do” lists were simply a goal. How each day transpired was truly dependent on my boys. Some days are complete chaos, other days are in perfect rhythm, but each day still has a sunrise and sunset. The little stuff, such as spilled milk, toys on the floor, a 30-minute nap versus the normal 2-hour nap, is okay!

What would you do with $20,000?

If I had the honor of receiving $20,000 for a dream vacation, I would use it for a family trip full of memorable experiences. My husband and I love going on cruises, so truthfully, it would probably involve a cruise. Just having time as a family, away from the day to day “work” responsibilities, would be truly special! Having two sets of twins, we live in a constant hustle of life. Very seldom do we relax and truly enjoy the moment as a family.
