Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Having to pick the most rewarding thing from motherhood is impossible. I’m rewarded every day by just watching them learn life. The way their faces light up when they learn something new, those extra little hugs and kisses they give me “just because”, singing worship music and lifting their hands in praise because they see mom and dad do it. It’s all so incredibly rewarding and I’m thankful to be fortunate enough to stay home and raise them.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Humility. I’ve learned since becoming a mom that if I hurt my kids feelings or my patience is running thin, that it’s important to apologize, even if they’re little and might not remember it. I’ve made it a point to do this and not only does it teach them an important lesson, I believe it will strengthen our relationship in the long run.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 would simply be life changing, as cheesy as that sounds. My husband and I would pay off the debt that we have and it would give us the financial freedom we’ve been working so hard towards. My husband is an ER nurse and works nights. He picks up extra shifts whenever possible, so it would be wonderful to have that money so he wouldn’t have to work those extra shifts and can stay home and spend that time with his family instead.
