Learning, growing mom-trusting my gut, advocating for them, laughing, dancing, healing, loving deeply. Being their mom makes me a super mom
We would like to thank you for supporting Heather Ternahan in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Learning who my children were designed to be and helping them become that with courage, clarity, and confidence. In quiet and loud moments, laughter and hard seasons, finding connection in it all. Being their safe place, where they run to me, not from me. Growing alongside them while holding steady love and connection.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me to trust my inner knowing, even when it goes against the world. It’s taught me growth isn’t linear, and healing myself is part of raising them. I’ve learned to let go of control, stay present, and choose connection over perfection. The hardest moments shape the deepest love. My children have taught me resilience, humility, and how to keep becoming.
What would you do with $20,000?I would set up investment funds for my children’s future, publish my two books, and purchase the materials needed to build a social media platform with my daughter. I would also cover integrative care needs from my son’s stage 4 cancer journey (he’s thriving) and reduce my remaining medical debt.
