Mama is my greatest calling. God’s grace fuels me, fierce love leads me, and strength through disability makes me a super mom.
We would like to thank you for supporting Heather Hendrickson in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a Mama isn’t one big moment—it’s a thousand small ones. The way they still reach for you, hearing “Mama” and knowing exactly what they need, seeing pieces of your heart in them. It’s the quiet, unseen moments where they feel safe with you. And one day, you realize all the love you poured into them didn’t disappear—it became who they are.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood taught me is that love is both strong and soft. You learn to let go while holding on, to guide without controlling, and to show up even when you’re tired. It humbles you, stretches you, and teaches you that perfection isn’t the goal—presence is. In the end, it’s not about getting it all right, it’s about loving them through it all.
What would you do with $20,000?If I had $20k, I’d be intentional—because money is a tool, not just a moment. I’d put it aside to ensure my boys are ready for their future, invest in protection and growth, and still sprinkle in a little joy—because balance matters. Not just spending—but stewarding it well.
