I used to be hard on myself about certain things… until I saw those same things in my babies. Now they’re my favorite parts. Motherhood didn’t just change how I see them, it’s changed how I see me.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Oh wow, just one?! If I had to choose it would be that kids don’t need perfection, they need presence. I see people die literally everyday. Never once has someone said, “I wish I would’ve caught up my laundry more” or “I should’ve polished my floors more often.” But I have heard on many occasions, “I wish I would’ve spent more time with my children.” And “I shouldn’t have spent so much time at work.” Presence is the most powerful gift for mothers and their children.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use the 20 thousand to pour back into the life I’ve worked so hard to build. It would help fund my schooling to become a nurse practitioner and create more stability for my babies. I would also invest in our home to create a space that feels safe and that we can call home.
