Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The way my daughter reaches for me, that I am her only comfort and security. How she copy’s every move I make, if forced me to be a better person and a strong woman so my little copycat can become the same. The way her big eyes sparkle when she sees me no matter how much time we spend together it never gets old, that’s the reward I get from motherhood. Her constant and purest form of love I’ll ever get. That’s what pushes me to be the best mother I can be everyday.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

To never give up, to keep trying. On those long nights that felt like I could never get her to stop crying, I never gave up. It sparked a fire in me I didn’t know I had. When nothing worked I pushed myself to find something that did. I never yelled, never walked away and never truly gave up on her. It made me realize that nothing in life is truly impossible, that as long as I never give up my goals can be achieved and solutions will present themselves. Motherhood has taught me keep going.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would want to take care of some debt so we can live worry free. Of course I would spoil my little girl (like she already isn’t spoiled enough!) but I would put a big chunk of it to building a chicken coop and get chickens! My daughter loves them and it would be so much fun to teach her how to raise and take care of chickens. To show her the rewards she can get from some dirt and hard work!
