The most rewarding part isn’t one big moment, it’s the accumulation of small, deeply human ones that show you your presence matters. It’s watching my children become their own person and realizing that I had a hand in that. The way they think, how they treat others, what makes them laugh and those things don’t come out of nowhere but the fact that I helped mold and shape that. Another great reward is growth within myself because it forces me to be patient and gives me strength in many ways.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is that I can't make everything perfect, and I can't control everything and every situation they encounter. However, I can be intentional, reliable and present and to me that's what matters the most.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I would use it as a starting point to build toward my long-term goal of opening Genie’s Hair Palace and eventually growing it into a global salon chain. Instead of trying to open a full salon right away, I’d invest in a smaller, smart start like a salon suite or renting a booth, purchasing quality equipment, and building my client base. This would allow me to generate income, establish my brand, and gain momentum while laying a strong foundation for future expansion.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Super Mom, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
