knowing your my kids feel safe, understood, and truly seen by me. I show up everytime. when My son or daughter needs space and does things own their own way. Instead of forcing it, I adjust. learning about autism and ADHD, questioning systems that don’t fit them, and refusing to make them feel like they’re “too much.” Maybe one day they would say My mom was my safe place. Yes right now is caos, is unknown , is exhaustion, is fighting battles but for then everything.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?I have learned to let go of control and choose understanding instead. I have to much moments when things didn’t go as planned so instead of forcing them I adjust , I respected who they are, even when it was inconvenient, emotional, or uncomfortable. I also learned patience on a deeper level, the one that shows up when I’m falling apart or I’m overwhelmed. I simple learned meeting my kids where they are, instead of trying to make them meet the world where it’s comfortable.
