Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I’ve seen the joy in my mom’s eyes as she watches my sister and me live our lives to the fullest. She’s always been our biggest cheerleader, supporting us in everything we do. Following her example helps us grow stronger, both emotionally and mentally.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

My mom has learned how to be both an amazing mom and a true friend. She’s found that perfect balance between love and friendship, and she shows it to us every day. She’s also taught us that even when days are rough, having a kind heart can always make things a little brighter.

What would you do with $20,000?

I know my mom would love the chance to finally go on a cruise. My parents had planned to take one for their 25th anniversary, but they weren’t able to because of the pandemic. Truthfully, though, it would most likely go toward helping with rent and bills—along with gas, groceries, and medical expenses. My mom has been living with an autoimmune disease that led to rheumatoid arthritis since I was born, so I know how much something peaceful and relaxing, like a cruise, would truly mean to her.
