I will never get over the privilege of being these tiny humans' safe place. The feeling of their nervous systems calming with mine when they run to me is tangible, and so special. It's the greatest honor to be that for them.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Un-bothered selflessness. Social media these days is saturated with messages about how draining and overwhelming and overstimulating motherhood is - and it can be. But the most sacred wisdom I've gleaned from these 4 babies is that when you choose to shift your heart posture from disgruntled sacrifice to purpose fulfillment, it's absolutely freeing. Does motherhood demand my everything? Yes. But what else is worthy of all of me? To whom else am I irreplaceable?
What would you do with $20,000?We would use this money to pay off debt. This month has hit us hard financially - our Toyota went out on us last week (a TOYOTA! Like, come on!), and my GMC has been a bit iffy in recent past, so being able to address those issues would be incredible. My husband, a police officer, works himself to the bone to allow me to stay home with our kids while they're still little. Easing some of the financial burden from him - saving him some OT shifts - would make me so, so happy.
