Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing the smiles on my boys’ faces when I make things happen for them. It reminds me that my sacrifices matter. In those moments, my mom guilt fades and I feel validated. From sleepless nights to reading together daily, I give my all to their growth, my kindergartener is already reading at a 2nd-grade level. Despite working two jobs and building businesses, their happiness and success are my greatest reward.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me that nothing about this "hood" is easy. It requires constant sacrifice, sleepless nights, and letting go of the life you once knew, while embracing a new one you love just as deeply. The road can feel overwhelming, but I stay focused on the future I’m building: raising strong, healthy, successful boys into great men. Even when the recognition isn’t loud, LEARNING to value the journey and the outcomes is a reward in itself.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use the money to pay off my credit card debt, which has been holding me back despite working hard to provide a comfortable life for my boys. Financial freedom would allow me to breathe and truly enjoy what I’ve built. With the remaining funds, I’d enroll both of my sons in football this year, something they’ve been excited about while already playing soccer. It would mean the world to give them that opportunity.
