I'm a mom of 3 non-verbal autistic children. I have twin girls, and a son. And yes, they all 3 have severe autism.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being needed. Growing up i was a only child, so i always tried to hard to keep friends or get people who needed me. A smile here, a quick random kiss there, and my heart melts because that's their way of letting me know that they need me.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Patience and learning to love the little things! You know when it's 830 am and your already late for school drop off and you're rushing trying to get shoes on, then 1 kids doesn't want to put shoes on because she's sleepy and she just wants to be held for 10 minutes, that happens a lot in my house, ive learned to be patient. Give the cuddle, be a little late to school. They are only young once ya know.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would buy us a van. Right now not having a vehicle is really hard, and Ubering with 3 autistic children is not fun. So i would use the money for a van to fit us all in, and the kids would even have their own space! It would be such a blessing 🙏🏻
