Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part about being a mom is when you’ve worked over and over to teach your kids something that is difficult and they finally get it! An example would be that I started with my kids as young babies teaching them to pick up after themselves or to clean their rooms. They aren’t perfect of course, but that repetition that has been very hard at times is finally showing me the fruits of my labor when my 5 year old can completely clean his room by himself.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson that has stretched me to grow is the sheer sacrifice that being a mom takes. From giving them your body and growing them, to losing sleep, to sometimes giving up things you love or alone time in order to care from them. I believe you CAN pour from an empty cup when you have to, because you will take care of your kids no matter how tired or burnt out you are. This has made me stronger in every area of my life.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have worked insanely hard and sacrificed over the last two years to pay off debt and be in a better position financially, but we still have dreams to move into a bigger home for our growing family. I would fix up my current home to sell and put the rest towards buying our next home. We also have grown our business so much that we need more space outside to store equipment, so we would love to buy a home on a bigger lot.
